Proverbs 12:4

I have been reading through Proverbs the last couple of weeks.  To state the obvious, there is SO much wisdom there!!  I love how each verse can stand on it's own.  I love how the verses talk about how to be wise. I love how the verses speak of living righteously in everyday life, something that often each day, I don't want to be doing...making righteous choices in the hard, mundane, challenging parts of everyday life.  I usually try to write down a verse each day that I feel God is specifically showing me.  Reading through Proverbs, I practically need to write down every verse!  I have decided to challenge myself to blog on one verse a week.  That way it will be one more time I write it down, one more moment in time that I am meditating on it.  One more moment that it may sink into my brain and begin to change my heart.  God's word is powerful, and I want God to use it to change me.  That is my prayer, that I may hide God's word in my heart, that I might not sin against Him (Psalm 119:11)

Our Family on Father's Day
Proverbs 12:4
An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who shames him is as rottenness to his bones.

My husband is an awesome, godly, hard working, creative, thoughtful, wonderful man.  Yet so often, I don't think the best of my husband.  I have been praying that God would help me see my husband as God sees him: a new creation, spotless, a royal priest, a son of the King.  The last thing I want to do is be rottenness to his bones.  I told my husband to please tell me anytime he feels like I am rottenness to his bones.  Lord, may I be the crown of my husband!

I really like the idea of writing down a verse a day from your reading. I'm going to start doing the same! What a great verse to remember too. I also love the father's day picture :)
