We had such a blast at our Sperle Family Reunion in Breckenridge last week. As this is my journal of sorts, I thought I'd write what my family did each day. I say that as a disclaimer in case you don't want to read this whole thing!
Saturday night--everyone arrives at various times, from various places, including Meghan returning stateside from her summer in Greece!
Sunday--Josh, Laura and I attempted to run...which wasn't pretty, nor did it feel good, on steep roads at 10,000+ feet! Karen, Bill and mom walked while this "running" was happening. David entertained many...in fact, let me just say that each day entailed ALOT of David-watching:) We also enjoyed a visit from the Hanson's, my mom's sister family. They brought yummy treats:)
Monday--I had a birthday...something that is getting a little less fun and a little more scary each time it happens! AND...some of us went WHITE WATER RAFTING!!! See picture above.
Tuesday--Shopping and dining in downtown Breckenridge. Josh bought a hat that was probably too expensive for his liking...but he spent so much time asking and walking and walking some more to find a shop that had it, he couldn't walk away without buying the thing!
Wednesday--Jacq had a birthday! And, some of us conquered Mt. Quandry! See the next post for some pictures and more details:)
Thursday--cold and rainy all day, which felt GREAT for the end of July. We hung out in the outdoor hottub, commissioned some weather-bravers to go get some baking supplies, made brownies AND a cake and watched movies...and ate cake and brownies:)
Friday--Mom, Dad, and Josh have to leave today:( We managed to fit in a hike to White Falls, though. David got to hike with Josh:) Sadly, it rained near the end and David got cold and wet and poor thing was crying for the last bit. He fell asleep almost as soon as I covered him with a blanket in his carseat.
Saturday--leaving day:( It went WAY too fast and we did alot but there is never enough visiting time and always more to do. But, it was so fun and SO good to see everyone! Thanks to all who made it!!!!

It's weird that it's already over, huh? You did get some really good pictures, even if you didn't take a ton. I miss the mountains and the family!
