The boys did AMAZING on the trip! We drove a straight 18 hours, with 2 or 3 stops, to make it the first night to Lewisville, TX, where my parents live. I was amazed at how they would sit contentedly coloring, playing with cars, eating snacks, or looking at books. Peter had downloaded an audio version of "Swiss Family Robinson" on his Kindle. David was surprisingly interested in it...I thought it would be too advanced for him to take an interest. But, he would ask to turn it on, and ask questions about the characters in the story. We also let them watch "A Bug's Life" when it got dark...that was definitely the highlight of being in the van for them:)

The next day, we hoped in the van again to make the 4 1/2 hour drive from Lewisville to Columbus. It was HOT...like 80-some degrees...and humid. I have become very heat intolerant since moving away from Texas. Oh, and being 35 weeks pregnant on the trip probably didn't help:) Let's just say my shoes didn't fit anymore by the time we made it to Columbus:) We stopped at a roadside Pecan stand (we had been hoping there would be one somewhere on the trip, and we found one just outside Columbus!) I had to take my shoes off to walk around...but it was totally worth it! Those pecans are super yummy...still need to make a pecan pie with them:)

Josh and Katelyn's wedding was beautiful! It was fun to meet Katelyn's family and see Columbus, the little town where they live. Josh has done quite a lot of remodeling to his quaint little cottage...it looks great! And he has better decorating skills than I do. I told him he can come decorate our country home when it is done:)

Josh and Katelyn had asked David to be the ring-bearer and he was stoked about it (being a pro, you know, since he also was the ring-bearer at Uncle Paul and Auntie Hayley's wedding). He was super cute and helpful to the sweet little flower girl.
Lots of family made it to the wedding too! Some relatives I hadn't seen in years. What fun we had visiting and catching up!
