| All smiles with Dada! |
I have loved getting to know my little Jonah as he is growing and showing us who God created him to be! I wanted to write down the things I love about him before he quickly grows out of this stage and I forget!
- the way his hair stands up on his head when he walks fast/runs
- the way he always nods either 'yes' or 'no' whenever you ask him a question, (he knows what he wants:)
- how in the mornings, he always wanders into his room at some point and emerges with his beloved blankey and his pacifier, often upside-down in his mouth!
- how he excitedly says "Dada! Dada!" and runs to the door whenever the door opens, even if it is just me opening the door
- the fact that he cries whenever we go inside after playing outside, almost no matter how long we've been outside
- the way he snuggles on my shoulder: blankey draped on my shoulder, pacifier in, and then pats me on the arm
- how when he is tired, he shakes his head when I ask him for "snugs" and desperately reaches for his crib and nods fiercely when I ask if he wants his bed
- the "motor" noise he makes when he drives toy cars around
- how he always wants to do what David is doing
- how much he loves baths, if you say "bath" he makes a beeline for the bathroom as fast as possible
- how he will be in the middle of something, stop, lift up his shirt, point to his belly button and say, "be-ba!"
He is talking up a storm and everyday David will excitedly exclaim, "Mom! Jonah learned a new word! He just said ___________."
Here is a sample of Jonah's vocabulary at this point in his little 15 month life:)
Day-Day (David), Dada, Mama, app-a (apple), mi (milk), no, mo (more), wa-wa (water),chee (cheese), "cuca" (cookie), hat, yuck, bobo (a little stuffed animal that David named "Bobo"), snack, hot, cold, that, uh-oh, car
Points to nose, eyes, ears, and attempts the words
Moos like a cow, quacks like a duck, mews like a cat, baas like a sheep, "cacas" like a rooster; loves animals in general and makes a run for any dog we ever see walking or at a park
He is such a joy and we love him so much!

Can't believe how big he's gotten and that he's already saying so many words! Would be fun to see him and Ems together! Funny-we call Emily "buggy" too!
