We survived our big move from Fort Collins, CO to Grand Forks, ND. On July 27, many of our friends in Fort Collins came to help us get all of our things loaded into the UHaul and our cars. It was a blessing to have so much help and it didn't take long at all. We said goodbyes to many dear friends and had one final sleep in our cute little green Colorado house. God answered our prayers when our house sold shortly before we were scheduled to move. So, on July 28, we woke up, the new owners and their realtor came to the house for a final walk through, then we all met for the closing. The closing took about 10 minutes and we were on the road to Grand Forks by 9 am! David did extraordinarily well in the car with just me. I had stocked up on new toys and friends had graciously given David some moving gifts as well. He did well entertaining himself and listening to a new silly songs CD I had gotten him for the trip.
So, now we are here in Grand Forks, ND, staying with Peter's parents for the time being. It has been a relief not having to worry about trying to find a place of our own in a rush. Peter's parents are being very generous in sharing their space, time and home with us. Peter's Grandma Barb has a town home in GF. She has also graciously offered her home to us for the wintertime, which she spends in California. We will spend that extra time praying and looking for a place of our own. Our desire is to live outside of town with some land, where we could have animals eventually. Looks like we may need to be patient for the right set-up to become available. Until then, we are settling in and enjoying weekends at the lake with David's Grammie, Grandpa, Uncle Paul and Auntie Rachel.

It's so neat how everything worked out for your move. I'm sad you are even further away, but happy that you are where you need to be! I'm sure the Letvin family is really enjoying you guys :) I am looking forward to hearing about all your new North Dakota adventures!
